Xanadu Adventure and Role Playing Scene

To all who are into Role Playing Games (RPG) or Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG) but rather than doing all the fighting for quests and survival are more into simply experiencing the scene, capturing the moments, making videos, or their very own movies, and meeting people with the same interest as you are, while making the scene even more real by exchanging ideas and stories. This scene fits you right. Xanadu gives you that sense of either being that damsel in distress waiting for your knight in shining Armour to come and rescue you, or you could be that mighty knight in shining Armour, king or prince, whatever you’d like to become that suits you — be it! Only there’s a limitation, because this scene is classified for adult players due to some scenes, and level of violence that not be suitable to minors. As expected this scene is within the 3D virtual World of IMVU.

The Wedding

The long awaited day of our virtual lives has come. It’s our virtual wedding day, and we’re both ready to finally tie the knot and become an official couple here in IMVU land. In real life, we are engaged and planning to get married next year. But since it’s possible to get wed here, we have decided to get married now. I am excited, and Red Butterfly can’t hide her excitement too.

After visiting her last midnight, I went home and then went to bed, but I got up really early too. the feeling is like having butterflies in my tummy, and I just can’t wait. I was wondering how Red Butterfly, my bride, would look like in her wedding gown. Many things were running in my head, and I just can’t help but smile.

I looked at the clocked and I realized that the clock seemed to be ticking too fast and it’s almost time. Just a couple of hours more and then our biggest celebration of love and commitment shall commence.

I took a bath and started grooming myself and then slipped into my clothes. I was in a hurry coz i’m afraid to get late, so I put on my coat and then drove off to the portal of wedding in the sky. It was quiet when I came, and I was thankful that nobody scheduled their wedding day at the same exact time and place.

We’ve decided to make our wedding be a solemn one with no one but us and the person who will bind our hands and hearts in marriage, the Priest. I took a deep breath and then stood where the groom should, then waited for Red Butterfly to come. After a few minutes of waiting, Red Butterfly came wearing her lovely white wedding dress. She had a veil on too. She looked extremely beautiful I cannot seem to take my eyes off her. ^^. I looked at her, called out her name to tell her where I was and when she looked at me, I smiled. She smiled back at me and it felt so great knowing that here we are ready to take things a step further. I went up to her, hugged her tight and then held her hand as we went up to the chapel and waited for the priest to come.

The Priest came, he was a few minutes late from the scheduled time but we don’t really mind at all, what matters more is that he came and finally we are going to start. After all, it’s our big day and nothing could ruin it, not even the late priest who probably attended to another wedding that was scheduled earlier than ours in some other place.

The priest then started the wedding ceremony. We exchanged our vows and “I Do’s” on the promise of loving each other and til death do us part. My favorite part was the “I now pronounce you “Mr and Mrs. Awakekoholic, You may now kiss the bride.” What else do you think? Haha! Now I know how it’s like to get wed in 3D.

By the way, aside from our virtual wedding day, we are also celebrating our one year and two months of being together in real life. That’s why we’ve chosen this date because it’s very special to the both of us. At least now, there are two reasons to celebrate this day. ^^

IMVU Fine Dining and Restaurant

After a long day of surfing at the online universities, we spent a very special dinner at IMVU Fine Dining and Restaurant. Red Butterfly shopped for something nice to wear, and I got myself something as well. I guess it’s about time we added something new to our wardrobes anyway. IMVU Fine Dining and Restaurant is one of the elite places to go and dine at. Although they have this dress code, and of course we have to follow it. And so we drove off to the place which isn’t really hard to find, only it takes a little time to load because they only cater ten people inside and that includes the staff of this huge place. Well just like any other place in IMVU, no matter how big the room is, only ten people are allowed in. This is to avoid the scenes going slow mo. But slow motion or not, as long as I have Red Butterfly with me, I’m perfectly fine.
The beautiful songs played by the pianist even made the night more romantic than ever. After we had our dinner, we ordered red wine and had a toast to us, and for this new beginning. Then, I asked Red Butterfly to dance with me. I held her hand and took her to the dance floor and we danced as sweet slow love songs are being played.
It’s not just the place, the food, the ambiance, and definitely not the wine. It’s just me and Red Butterfly and our love, making the night even more special and warm. How I wished the night would not end, but Red Butterfly and I had to set off for home and rest the night away. Tomorrow is another day.

The New Beginning

Just like getting an online university degree, I wanted to start this new virtual life right, I don’t want this to be like how it’s like with other people who have just found something new to play for pleasure, or to explore and meet new friends virtually. Well, I have nothing against that, in fact I am open to meeting and making new friends, but not someone special.
I have Red Butterfly and she’s all that I’d ever want to spend and share everything with. I don’t want this to be just another virtual or online game that we play. We are already engaged in real life and I want to make it the same virtually. And so I proposed to Red Butterfly by giving her a ring and asking her to marry me. I wanted to take her to a place that is romantic and beautiful, but I dunno, no matter where I looked I couldn’t seem to find the perfect place. Everything always looked so common and plain, or maybe they’re just always out stood by my baby’s beauty. Her smile alone lights up every place that we went to…
…or maybe it’s just me. I can’t stop staring at her, I don’t want her out of my sight. All that was running in my thoughts was, I want to make it known to the real world, as well as to the virtual world, that this girl is mine and Red Butterfly is the only one I’ll ever love. I want me and Red Butterfly to have a virtual life well lived — together. I want us to spend all our virtual time together as much as I spend all my time with her in real life. I am filled with hopes and thoughts of us being happy. All I want is for us to be together in all ways possible, and to explore this new world in the 3D virtual environment together.
She said “YES” and I am so happy coz I have known that it’s possible to get wed virtually. Now, since Red Butterfly and I are engaged, we are soon to be married. And when I say soon, I mean very very soon ^^. You are all invited. If you are in IMVU just message me or something. Anyway, I have to bounce for now and shop for clothes to wear for our wedding. *waves*

The Mountain Drive

I was trying to browse some nice rooms when I accidentally clicked on the chat now button and unexpectedly met a filipina girl who is also into online games and taking online college courses. It turned out that she just signed up and created her own RPG 3D Avatar. I invited Red Butterfly over to the room to meet her. We were in her basic penthouse and she asked if we had other rooms and I said yeah. I asked Red Butterfly to switch rooms and then we took her for a short mountain drive as we were heading to the other side of the island to Red Butterfly’s beach house.

The photo is a bit blurry but that’s me, Red Butterfly and MissRia riding in that red virtual car. The nice thing about this room is that there is an animated car you can ride on and it really moves and your avatar can drive it. This room also has a mountain tunnel, a cool mountain top with an awesome view. The only way to get to the top of the mountain is by riding the cable car. This is one of my most favorite rooms. I saw it first when I was searching for public rooms with cars. I guess Red Butterfly knew that I liked it so much that’s why she bought the room. I didn’t have enough credits to do so myself. We try not to buy similar types of rooms, since we can share it anyway. We have a few other rooms too. After the short mountain drive, we headed off to Red Butterfly’s beach house with MissRia. She stayed for awhile and then went ahead to find and have some 3D chat and fun with her other new friends.

Rooms and Bubbles

Virtual Citizens communicate through Text Bubbles. This is true in most RPG, MMORPG, or any other games where players have the ability to talk and interact with one another. although most games uses chat boxes, I still prefer the bubbles. It can be a little annoying at time, most especially when you’re taking screen shots, good thing there’s a way to remove it. Anyway many are confused on how it works, basically, you just invisibly type something you want to say and then it appears in bubble on top of your character. there’s an option to switch it a usual chat window through by pressing Ctrl and B simultaneously. But still, I prefer the bubble type unless otherwise I’d like to take some good screen captures of the avatars and the view. In this photo, I am hanging around with RB (RedButterfly21) in the beach house. We sort of had a light argument here, but it’s nothing really. FYI: Red Butterfly is someone special in real life, I had her sign up for an account and make an avatar too so we could hang out virtually as well. You’d be seeing a lot of her in the photos, so yeah.If you’ve noticed that we have a Christmas tree and fireplace too. Like what I’ve mentioned in the previous posts, whatever its is that we have in real life, there’s also a virtual counterpart. Both the Christmas tree and fireplace are animated. The fire lights up just like that of in a real fireplace, and the Christmas tree has blinking lights and it also has music, you just have to type the trigger word x-mas to turn it on. Fascinating, isn’t it?

I bought this beach house room, it doesn’t cost as much although it came with just the house itself and wasn’t furnished, because I wanted something I could customize. You may also buy a new room with a different setting, like a beach house for instance, movie house, mountain cabins, mansions, yacht, white sand beaches, playground, clubs, malls, name it and IMVU has it. you’d even be surprised because you will find scenes and places that you could only imagine or see in movies, like go underwater, or up the clouds.
If you have no credits to buy your own rooms, you could still experience and explore more than 800 rooms and counting. Meet people, party, hang out at the beach, or wherever you want to.

The Virtual World and Environment

Before I go to the topic about my avatar, I would like to talk about the Virtual World and environment in which my Avatar will become a virtual citizen of. If there are different types of Online Degree Programs, There are also a lot of virtual games and environment that you could choose from, either from single player and multi player games, realms, or chat softwares that includes a virtual environment and simulation games, otherwise known as RPG interface. There’s The SIMS with a lot of extensions and you can install in your machine and run with or without the net connection, there are also online multiplayer games with simulation environments and interactive 3D chat software fully loaded with so many features that you can install and run just like There, Kaneva, Secondlife, and IMVU. And in my case I have tried most of them but have settled with IMVU, a continously growing online network and Virtual world. The Avatars in IMVU are 3D and more detailed than the other counterparts most especially when it comes to skins, eyes, and even the rooms and clothes, etc. I have had my other Avatar for about a year now, but for the sake of this blog and for a new beginning, I have signed up for a new account and created a new Avatar named awakekoholic.

The First Journey Towards Virtual Reality

If getting a degree online has an enrollment process, the first step in becoming a part of the Virtual World is to create your own virtual entity. It could be a reflection of yourself in real life, a character that you desire to become, or a role that you’d like to portray in any online games, may it be RPG, MMORPG or what have you. A virtual entity otherwise known as Avatar. An avatar is the 3D pseudo physical representation of yourself and your existence in the world of virtual reality. Some create themselves into monsters, some into bots, some into elves, vampires, heroes, etc. But I chose to remain in the realm of humans. A real life avatar as what they call it. Human in form from head to toe, only an animated representation of yourself. Well, we can’t deny that not all human avatars are real life avatars, or a reflection of the owner in the real world. You are given the option to make your avatar good looking, sexy, perfectly proportioned from head to toe, or to look like any celebrity that you dream to be. Most virtual citizens choose to be those perfect characters, most especially those who dream to become famous, and some to fulfill their frustrations in real life. But still, it’s different when you make or customize your own real life avatar. Because that way, you get to experience the best of virtual world like experiencing it in real life, because you get to see a 3D reflection of you in every scene. Taking A Different Route

Most people blog about things that happens in real life some about their online college degree. The things they do, their experiences, what they have observed, new discoveries, and all that pertains to their daily personal experiences. Some people write about what’s on the news, what’s the hottest product in the market, people dying and people killing people, the hottest trends in fashion, music and sports industry. Some blogs to share their passion in writing, poetry, music, art, and photography. That’s what the usual blogging is all about. I myself prefer to belong to the other side of bloggers, people who blog about their favorite online games, RPG games in particular the newest and hippest softwares to hit the web, but more specifically about virtual life. Sometimes there are things that we can’t do in real life that are possible in virtual reality, you discover people, make new friends, join a community, discover new places, hang out with your friends, and even become famous in the virtual world. A world that the only limit is your own imagination. An escape from reality, and sometimes a stepping stone to finding your dream in real life. A way to make real friends, and to become inspired to make those dreams and adventures real. Today, I will be taking a different route in blogging and take the same journey as those who have gone before me.
